The dance is set to a 4/4 rhythm with a distinctive syncopated beat that inspires dancers to move with enthusiasm and precision.

The name Cha Cha Cha is onomatopoetic, which means that the word imitates the source of the sound. Feet are lightly caressing the floor so the sound “sh, sh, sh”  gave the name Cha Cha Cha.

Cha Cha’s fast-paced steps and cheeky character make it a crowd favorite in ballroom competitions and social dance events alike. The dance combines sharp movements, quick feet, and hip rotations while adhering to the signature Cuban touch, creating a fun and engaging experience that invites both partners to showcase their skills and express their individuality.
